To some of us, especially around the Northeast Ohio area, it may be hard to realize that Spring is right around the corner. This year Spring starts on March 20, 2019, which is only 16 days away.
Spring is an exciting season as things begin to bloom and the weather becomes much warmer. However, Spring is also one of the worst seasons for allergies. Allergies are defined as “an adverse response to a substance outside of the body.”
Here are some of the most common allergens:
House Dust Mites
Insects such as wasps and bees
Patients who have allergies can expect some of the following symptoms:
Cough and/or a Sore Throat
Sneezing and/or a Runny Nose
If a patient is a victim of allergies, there are a few remedies and steps they can take to suppress their symptoms:
Keep windows closed
Use a prescribed inhaler
Keep the air in your house clean with filters
Take nasal spray, decongestants, and allergy medicines
