Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA)

An Electronic Remittance Advice or ERA (otherwise known as an ANSI 835 or electronic EOB) is available from Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS and many commercial payers. Since these ERA files are not presented in a human-readable form, you need a way of viewing them the same way you can view paper payer reports. Etactics
provides a printable, human readable report that corresponds with each electronic ERA file. This file is a text file and can be stored and searched easily for the information that is important to you.

If your system auto-posts 835 transactions, it may not balance because of take-backs or other information contained in the electronic format that do not import during payment processing. We can solve those and other problems by allowing you to view the EOB in both the raw ANSI 835 format (used to auto post transactions into your system) and also in human readable reports in a familiar EOB format. These reports can assist you if a remit file fails to post properly.
